Sustained tropical storm force winds are expected Sunday morning which then gradually diminish Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening.
Storm surge inundation of 2 to 5 feet, possibly higher, is likely along coastal areas of Mobile and Baldwin counties, with lower values over the western Florida panhandle, but please stay tuned for potential updates regarding this.

My Mac has OS 10.6.8 which I don't want to update for all sorts of reasons.
Updating Prism Windows 6.00/6.01/6.02/6.03/6.04/6.05/6.06 to 6.07 Prism Windows 6.07 is a free update that fixes several bugs. While running Prism 6.00/6.01/6.02/6.03/6.04/6.05/6.06, drop the Help menu and choose Check For Updates.

UPDATE p.m.: The Fort Walton Beach Public Library and the museums of the City’s Heritage Park & Cultural Center will be closed on Saturday, October 7th.

Southerly winds will increase to 20 to 35 mph late Saturday night in the tropical storm watch area with frequent gusts in excess of tropical storm force.
